We are taking orders now for fall beef, summer and fall chickens, and fall pork.

Tammy and Edie delivered a total of 17 little pigs the first week of March. DewDrop, a Hereford-Galloway cow, who due to no fault of her own lost her calf, is contributing her milk to the rapid growth of these little terrorists. Thanks to Steve Bye who helped deliver the greatest majority of them. They now run freely back and forth between the two sows and are little butterballs of energy.

We are back in fresh goat’s milk, thanks to Flossie!

The new calf crop is off to a good start and the market steers for this fall are growing well. Thanks to Julius Lovaas we have provided them a mix of organic oats and peas to supplement the hay through the winter. Pastures should be good this year and hopefully not delayed too long because of the so far cold spring. The Galloway is an heirloom breed that tends to grow more slowly. Our first line-bred Galloways may not be finished until next spring. We will have a limited supply of Hereford-Galloway ready this fall, so place your orders early. Customer feedback has been very positive for this tasty beef.

Spring Planning

We used some of the pork last night and loved it. I wasn't surprised, because I always love what we get from you, but still, another nice portion of meat from just down the road always makes dinner a happy event!   Poet, Sonya SC
